Writing

At Chyngton, writing is taught so that all children — including those who are disadvantaged or have SEND — become confident, creative, and effective writers.

Children at Chyngton will:

• Develop strong language and vocabulary skills to communicate their ideas clearly and confidently.
• Write with clarity, accuracy, and creativity.
• Use writing to express ideas, emotions, and stories in a way that fosters imagination and a love of writing.
• Build on their speaking and reading skills to become articulate, independent writers.
